Michaela Kunz

Michaela is a well rounded dancer who engages her passion into guiding other aspiring dancers to reach their dreams. She is loyal to the art of dance and has experience in 7 different styles of dance. Classical Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Irish, and Musical Theater. Maria’s School of Dance is where she received the greatest amount of dance training in her childhood, preteen, and teenage years. She was faithful and hard working as a competitive dancer for five successful years. She connected her award winning competitive career to performing in theater productions. Her biggest solo stage presence was earning a lead role in “The Little Mermaid” as Ariel which she received standing ovations for her commitment to the role. Michaela also danced in Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Tangled, and performed five seasons in the famous two-act Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker”. From first position plié at the age of 3 and following the occupation of dance 15 years later, she has officially chosen dance as her adult career. She graduated from The Dance Coalition Teacher Training Program with over 200 hours of classroom and field training. She is currently working on her first dance project “Creative Dance Education”.
"It takes a dancer to motivate a greater good even if they are waiting in the wings” Michaela says when asked about her dream of teaching students. Today that dream becomes real and is alive in her new classes at The Dance Coalition.
